Terms & Conditions

1. General Agreement

Le Chant du Champ is a project led by a small team with intention and care. We are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that retreats run in the best possible conditions, offering you a true break — in nature, with quality partners and service providers.

By agreeing to take part in a retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute a binding agreement between Le Chant du Champ SASU ("we", "the hosts", "our") and retreat participants ("you", "the participant(s)", "your").

Le Chant du Champ is a private property located in Griselles, Loiret, France. All guests are expected to respect the space, its surroundings, and the spirit in which it is offered.

We operate a chambre d'hôtes and table d'hôtes (bed & breakfast) on this property, providing accommodation and meals for retreat participants.

2. Booking & Payment

A deposit equivalent to a percentage (%) of the total contribution (price) of the retreat is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 21 days before the start of the retreat. For bookings made within 21 days of the retreat, full payment is required at the time of registration.

Payment methods accepted: bank transfer and online payment. Details will be provided upon registration.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you are no longer able to attend the retreat, we can issue a refund if your spot is taken by a new participant at least 7 days before the start of the retreat. If this is not possible, we will be unable to offer a refund.

Le Chant du Champ reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a retreat in exceptional circumstances, such as a Force Majeure event, or in case the number of participants who have signed up is too little, preventing the retreat to unfold in the expected conditions. In such cases, guests will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

4. Guest Etiquette & Community Life

Le Chant du Champ is a space of kindness, creativity, and shared experience. We ask all guests to:

  • Treat fellow guests, hosts, and the property with respect and care.

  • Follow the rules and guidelines of the property as communicated on arrival.

  • Maintain a considerate noise level, particularly in the evenings.

  • Respect the natural environment — the grounds, pond, and surrounding area.

  • Embrace the pace and spirit of the retreat, which is designed for rest, connection, and creativity.

The hosts reserve the right to ask any guest whose behaviour is deemed disruptive or disrespectful to leave the premises, without issuing any refund.

5. Health & Safety

Guests are responsible for their own physical and mental health and wellbeing during the retreat. It is your responsibility to have appropriate health and medical insurance, as well as travel insurance if you are travelling to the retreat.

Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. However, we reserve the right to refuse a participant if we consider that their health, or that of other participants and hosts, may be at risk.

For yoga sessions, sauna use, or any other activity requiring physical effort, please listen to your body and practice within your own limits.

The sauna is available for use at your own risk. Please follow the safety guidelines provided by the hosts.

Le Chant du Champ accepts no liability for any injury, illness, or loss of personal belongings during the stay.

6. Travel Requirements

Guests are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own travel to and from the retreat venue.

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.

Arrival and departure times will be communicated at the time of booking. Please respect these times to ensure a smooth experience for all guests.

7. Force Majeure

Le Chant du Champ shall not be held liable for any failure to deliver the planned retreat programme due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, war, pandemics, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer an alternative date. If no alternative is possible, a full refund will be issued.

8. Privacy & Personal Data

Your personal information will be used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and communicating with you about your stay. It will never be shared with third parties without your consent.

Photos taken during the retreat may be used on our website or social media, unless you notify us otherwise.
